This is from the Los Angeles River which runs along the 101 Freeway with towering power lines. I love power poles, the way they stride across the landscape, their utilitarian shapes. Reminding us to use power responsibly.
My father was an industrial ceramical engineer who among other things worked with clay bodies and glazes for power pole isolators, examples of which were always sitting around the house.
